JUSEK in brief

The challenge

Jusek is the leading academic association for lawyers, economists, computer scientists, human resources specialists, communicators and social scientists. Jusek’s ambition is to strengthen its members' competitiveness throughout their careers.

Jusek continuously develops its practice to strengthen its members' position on the labour market. In 2014, its management took the decision to improve performance management to further strengthen the organisation's ability to create a common force and commitment in selected strategic issues.

A clear FOCUS

The solution

Jusek approached The Information Company to review the current management model and introduce improved performance management as a natural part of its business planning and monitoring. Together with the management team, objectives and KPIs were drawn up based on the association's adopted strategy. The KPIs were quality-assured through clear definitions, outcome sampling and educational visualisation aimed at clearly conveying what was important and how Jusek performed in the target area.

To ensure Jusek really accepted the consequences of the objectives developed, the project also provided initial assistance to people charged with providing management with relevant root cause analyses and proposals for actions.

Increase toward prioritised targets

Performance management helped create a focus throughout the organisation on what was most important. Analysis groups were created for the three prioritised objectives – recruitment of professionals, loyalty and student recruitment. The analysis groups bring together different skills from all over the association headquarters, which allows us to make informed decisions in order to achieve the objectives. Jusek has achieved improvements in all areas.
