KRONFÅGEL in brief

The challenge

Kronfågel is Sweden's leading chicken producer. They had been working internally for a while with their ambition of moving from financial management to performance management. However, a situation analysis showed there to be no clear overall company objectives, no clear unifying theme between different objectives, and a lack of dedication among employees for the objectives chosen.

IMPORTANT EXTENSION

The solution

On the basis of the established business plan, TIC management helped crystallise what the most important extension was and thus the overall objective for Kronfågel as a whole. Once in place, it became clear to everyone that this new, more focused direction was better than the course they had previously steered. Together with company management, the most important actions for achieving the target were identified and formulated as a performance management objective for the whole of Kronfågel.

The performance management objectives of the management team and each department were visualised in Qlik, which created the basis for regular, systematic monitoring of the objectives identified.

THE RIGHT FOCUS

The outcome

By focusing on chilled chicken sales, Kronfågel succeeded in creating pronounced growth, an improvement in profitability and a category extension. The common focus also clarified what the most important part of the whole value chain was, thus making it possible to link performance management in every department to the overall objective. The proportion of employees who were aware of – and saw themselves able to act in line with – the targets increased markedly during the year.
